Foley effects

Foley sound effects are created to increase the realism of different specific soundtracks. When foleying it requires people who are able to think outside the box and to have a creative and skillful way of creating sounds using the subtle sounds that boom microphones and other on-set recording devices can pick up.  The pace and timing of creating these is important. In order for the sound to be accurate you will also have to consider the time in which you create the sounds. Ordinary objects a usually used to create the sounds that people in the films, such as shoes, chains, chairs etc.


Wild tracks 

Wild tracks is the recorded audio that is gathered from a location in our to be used in post-production to create the atmosphere of the location. This a way of recording different sounds in locations that will be taken and used in post-production.

Theme music - The theme music is also known as a soundtrack. It is used to create the form of a characters signature tune whether it be in a radio drama or film. It is an indication of something important as well as the importance of a specific character. The theme music is used to ensure the audience knows the beginning and end of a film or radio drama.

 Voice-overs -
Voice overs is used in audio visual products in two ways. There can be an unseen narrator who helps anchor the meaning to the audience that is being set in a specific scene. In advertisements voice over are very informative and tells the audience about a product that is being publicized.
